Ingredients of Moong dal tadka

  1. You need 3/4 of th cup moong dal.
  2. It’s 3 cups of water.
  3. Prepare 1 of tomato.
  4. You need 1 tsp of ginger garlic paste.
  5. You need of Cumin seeds.
  6. You need leaves of Curry.
  7. You need 1-2 of chilli.
  8. It’s 1 tsp of ghee.
  9. You need 0.5 tsp of chilli powder.
  10. You need Pinch of turmeric.
  11. It’s of Salt.
  12. You need Pinch of hing.
  13. It’s 1 tsp of jaggery.

Moong dal tadka instructions

  1. In a cooker take ghee + cumin seeds + ginger garlic paste + tomato and sauté well. Add chilli as well.
  2. Now add salt + turmeric + jaggery + chilli powder + hing to it.
  3. Add washed moong dal + water (4-5 cups) based on consistency you need. Pressure cook for 5 whistle.
  4. Now prepare tadka by heating cumin seeds + ginger + Aamchur powder + curry leaves. Add it to cooked dal. Garnish this with coriander leaves..
