Ingredients of Til ki chikki

  1. It’s 3/4 cup of til/sesame seeds.
  2. You need 3/4 cup of grated jaggery.
  3. It’s 1 tsp of ghee/clarified butter.
  4. You need 2 tsp of water.
  5. It’s 1 tsp of cardamom powder.
  6. It’s 1 tsp of baking powder.

Til ki chikki step by step

  1. First dry roast sesame seeds till slightly brown,remove and cool.now same vessel heat add in ghee/clarified butter with jaggery.when jaggery is melted add water..
  2. When jaggery turns brown,pour a tsp in cold water,check after few seconds,if its crunchy its done.now add in cardamom powder and baking powder.mix well.
  3. Now lastly add in sesame seeds and mix well and remove on the parchment paper greased with ghee or butter.let it set few seconds and make marks.when set cut into desired shapes.
  4. Adding water and baking powder makes the chikki soft nor hard like sugar ones.keep in airtight container and enjoy these bars in winter..
