  1. You need 500 g of chopped cauliflower florets.
  2. You need 1 cup of chopped onion.
  3. Prepare 1/2 cup of chopped tomato.
  4. It’s 1 sprig of curry leaves.
  5. Prepare 1/2 teaspoon of mustard seeds.
  6. You need 1 pinch of asafoetida powder.
  7. It’s 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder.
  8. You need 1 teaspoon of coriander powder.
  9. It’s 1 teaspoon of garam masala powder.
  10. Prepare of Salt as per taste.
  11. You need 3 tablespoons of oil.
  12. You need of Water.
  13. You need 2 tablespoons of cilantro leaves.

Cauliflower Stir Fry (Indian Style) #mycookbook instructions

  1. Heat 3 tablespoons of oil in a saucepan.
  2. Add in 1 teaspoon of mustard seeds and wait till they crackle.
  3. Add in a sprig of curry leaves.
  4. Add in a cup of finely chopped onions and sauté till they turn translucent..
  5. Now add in 1/2 cup of chopped tomatoes and cook till they turn mushy..
  6. Add in 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder.
  7. Add 1/4 teaspoon red chilli powder.
  8. Add 1/2 teaspoon garam masala.
  9. Add 1 teaspoon coriander powder.
  10. Add in a pinch of asafoetida.
  11. Add salt as per taste.
  12. Add in a tablespoon of chopped cilantro leaves and mix well.
  13. Add in the cauliflower florets.
  14. Add in 1/2 a cup of water and mix well.
  15. Cover and cook till the cauliflower gets cooked well.
  16. Garnish with 1 tablespoon cilantro leaves.
  17. Serve hot with chappatis (Indian flat bread) (check out my recipe for Chappatis).
