- You need of sauce.
- You need 2 tbsp of soy sauce.
- Prepare 1/3 cup of brown sugar.
- You need 3 tbsp of water.
- You need 1/2 tsp of ground dried ginger.
- Prepare 1 tbsp of sesame oil.
- It’s 1/4 tsp of red pepper flakes.
- Prepare of main.
- It’s 4 clove of garlic.
- You need 1 lb of ground meat (leaner is better).
- You need 2 piece of green onions.
Korean flavors Rice Bowl step by step
- Add all sauce ingredients (first 6 ingredients) to a small bowl, whisk together, adjust pepper flakes to your heat level.
- Add a little oil to your pot, heat on medium high.
- Chop garlic, add too hot oil, stir constantly for about 1 minute.
- Add ground meat to pot with garlic, stir and chop into small pieces, until cooked.
- Add sauce to ground meat, keep stirring, about 2 minutes.
- Add green onions, stir for 1 additional minute.
- Serve over prepared hot rice.
- NOTES – be careful with the soy sauce, too much can make it overly salty. I also added a handful of snow peas to this one in the picture. Had some left over. Turned out good if you have some. Next time I'll try some chopped water chestnuts also, I think the crisp will add a nice touch. I was out of red pepper flakes and used 1 tablespoon of hot sauce instead, worked great..
